Our Philosophy
Hallo gekke wijn lovers!
Greek wine has been around for over 6000 years (c’mon, at least I didn’t say we invented it) with the scene exploding over the past years and producers focusing more on local grape varieties, offering wine lovers a new unchartered territory to discover. The last decade has been particularly exciting with these wines now raising eyebrows internationally, showing that Greece can do more than just ouzo and retsina.
Motivated by our love for Greece and our passion for wine we wanted to help promote Greek wines and share them with the world, doing our part to help the recovery by supporting our local producers… and so we bring you VAN DE GRIEKEN! We work with several niche producers who each create a range of styles, some are hardcore biodynamic with no added sulphites and others produce more elegant low intervention wines.
We are proud to have the largest selection of Greek natural wines in the Netherlands and are already working with some iconic restaurants and bars. Follow us to hear about exciting upcoming events and new wine releases.
So we have put together five mixed boxes, to satisfy different tastes, meal pairings and moods, to help you get to know these gems and explore a little bit of Greece.
